Here’s a simple recipe to make health mix pancakes:

INGREDIENTS

  • Start with 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour.
  • Then, add 1/2 cup of Y.G health mix.
  • Next, incorporate 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
  • Following this, mix in 3-4 teaspoons of cane sugar.
  • Proceed by adding 2 teaspoons of butter and set aside some extra for greasing.
  • Don’t forget to include a pinch of salt.
  • Now, pour in 1 cup of milk that has been boiled and cooled.
  • Finally, adjust the mixture with 1/3 cup of water, modifying the amount to achieve the desired consistency

INSTRUCTIONS

  • To start, add 1/2 cup wheat flour, 1/2 cup health mix, 4 teaspoons cane sugar, 1 teaspoon butter, a pinch of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda to a mixing bowl.
  • Next, using a whisk, mix these ingredients well.
  • After that, add 1 cup of milk to the mixture.
  • Whisk well to form a thick batter.
  • Gradually, add water little by little.
  • Whisk thoroughly to ensure there are no lumps.
  • The batter should be slightly thick but flowing. Adjust the water accordingly to achieve this consistency.
  • I used my 1/3 cup measure to scoop out the batter, but you can use any deep curved ladle.
  • To prepare the tawa, heat it and check by splashing water over it. If bubbles appear with a mild shh sound, the tawa is ready.
  • Lightly spread butter over the preheated tawa.
  • Pour the batter onto the tawa without spreading it. Keep the flame low.
  • Bubbles will start appearing on the surface.
  • Once you see the bubbles, cook covered for 1-2 minutes or until the top looks cooked.
  • Next, open and flip the pancake over. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Finally, flip over one more time, and your Y.G health mix pancakes are ready to serve.

NOTES

  • The tawa temperature is very important. If it becomes too hot, sprinkle water wipe off with a cloth then proceed.
  • Also each time check the tawa temperature before adding the batter. When you splash water you ashould hear a mild shh sound not a sharp one.Maintaining the tawa temperature is very important to get perfect pancakes.
  • I did not add cardamom powder as the homemade health mix already had it and was aromatic.
  • You can use Y.G health mix.
  • These Y.G health mix pancakes are not fluffier as the regular pancakes as these are made with wheat flour and health mix powder, also there is no baking powder in the recipe but still tastes so good, soft and tasty. Do try and you will thank me la ter.
